Study of Environmental Forensic Technology Development (3/4) –HRGC/ MS/IRMS, FTIR, and Raman Forensi

The purpose of this study was to collect documentary information regarding the forensic technology of GC/ IRMS, FTIR, and Raman. It also includes the development and assessment of the technologies with the developed fast screening for establishing the identification procedures with respect to sludge. The objectives of this study include the forensic technology development of GC/IRMS, FTIR, and Raman, which collects the research articles regarding these analytical methods. The applications of the analysis are in the fields of sludge, soil, environmental science, food source, and illegal substitution of food ingredients. The main portion of the information was to establish the sample pretreatment, purification, instrument condition, and data analysis. This study selected the sludge from the wastewater treatment of the printing and dyeing industry and chemical manufacturing industry. The fast screening with XRF, XRD, SEM/EDX, and GC/MS can be also coupled with the studied methods in order to build up the sludge database of these industries on organic and inorganic indicators. The database can be used to construct the forensic procedure. The following is the preliminary indicators: 1. For the printing and dyeing industry: Cyclohexasiloxane, dodecamethyl-, Cycloheptasiloxane, tetradecamethyl-, C20~C34 & cyclic alkane & siloxane, Eicosane, Tricosane, Tetracosane, Hexacosane, Octacosane, Tetradecanamide, Hexadecanamide, A(C2H4O)nB, A(C3H6O)nB, C20H23N3O (antibacterial agent) 2. For the chemical manufacturing industry: Benzene, isocyanato-, Aniline, Benzenemethanamine, 3,3'-Dichlorobenzidine, Benzenamine, 4-chloro-2,5-dimethoxy-, 1,1'-Biphenyl, 2,4'-dichloro-, 1,1'-Biphenyl, 2,2',3,4-tetrachloro-, 1,1'-Biphenyl, 2,2',4,4',5-pentachloro-, 1,1'-Biphenyl, 2,3,3',4,5,6-hexachloro-(PCB), Dibenzo[b,e][1,4]dioxin, 1,2,3,4-tetrachloro- & isomer(dioxin)
